Our PYP students had an Onam blast filled with tradition, creativity, and hands-on learning! 🌼

🍚 They prepared Aval, a delicious savory made with beaten rice, jaggery, and grated coconut – experiencing the joy of cooking a traditional treat.
🌴 They explored the art of weaving with coconut leaves, learning how these leaves are skillfully transformed into useful and decorative items.
📖 The students also enjoyed storytelling of King Mahabali and the legend of Onam, connecting to the cultural roots of the festival.
🌸 Adding colors to the celebration, they created beautiful Pookkalam (flower carpets), spreading festive cheer all around.
🏺 The highlight was an Onam Exhibition, where students showcased traditional items used in Kerala homes, offering everyone a glimpse of our rich heritage.

It was a celebration that beautifully blended culture, creativity, storytelling, and festive joy – the true essence of Onam!
